Advisory Program, HMHS Grades 6-12
The Purpose of Advisory at HMHS
- To build a reliable, welcoming, inclusive community where each member feels a sense of belonging and where each student feels cared for, heard, known , and valued.
- To provide a safety net for all students; to ensure each student has a caring adult advocate.
- To have each student persistently consider and deepen their answers to the questions: Who am I? How am I doing? What are my plans for the future?
- To support a group of diverse, fellow humans on their unique journeys.
- To connect students to themselves, one another, and their largest purposes and possibilities.
- To connect students with opportunities for service, joy, ritual, physical activity, and adventure.
