Update on COVID-19 December 24, 2020

We have learned that two more students in the elementary school have tested positive for COVID-19. One of these students had close contact with only one other person who has already been notified. Due to the timing of the onset of symptoms for the other student, based on DHHS guidelines, they had no close contact with anyone in the school. We have also learned that one of the bus drivers in Hinsdale has tested positive as well. The bus company assures us that the driver had no close contact with any students. Of course, we will conduct the appropriate contact tracing and notify anyone who may have been exposed.
We hope that the extended time away from school will help the community reduce the risk of the continued spread of COVID. We will be on holiday break until Monday, January 4th, at that time, all students will be learning remotely with the return to in-class learning scheduled for Tuesday, January 19th after the observance of the Martin Luther King holiday.
We wish you all a very happy holiday season! We appreciate everyone’s continued support as we work together to keep our community safe.
Best wishes for a brighter 2021!
