HMHS <\/span><\/b>Information for Re-Opening School Fal<\/span><\/b>l 2020<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This information is in addition to the <\/span>Hinsdale Fall 2020 School re-opening plan summary<\/span> previously pos<\/span>t<\/span>ed on the school district web page <\/span>www.hnhsd.org<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All Families will receive a letter on PowerSchool with packets mailed home on August 27.\u00a0 The letter will provide the updated usernames and passwords that students will need for logging onto their laptops and Office 365.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Parents must notify the school of their intention if they choose remote learning for their children by\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students must participate either full access or fully remote.\u00a0 Students who chose to begin the school year remotely will be required to maintain remote learning until the end of the first quarter.\u00a0 Remote students will be welcome to begin full access learning at the end of the quarter should they choose to return to school.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Remote students may still participate in sports following the <\/span>return to sports guidelines posted on the district web page.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Medical Screening will be performed on every student, staff member and visitor entering any school building.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Facility Upgrades:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

HVAC air filters have been upgraded district wide from MERV 7 to MERV 11 to improve air quality and safety.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

iWave-C\u00a0 Commercial air cleaners are being installed in the HVAC systems in both schools. These air purification systems purify the air supply killing mold, bacteria and viruses<\/span> (tested to successfully reduce up to 99.4% of the COVID-19 virus particles in the air flow).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hiring of additional custodial staff to maintain strict cleaning and sanitation schedules.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Decluttering and rearrangement of classrooms to allow for physical distancing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Purchase of UV Sanitation lights.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
