Curriculum

Our curriculum follows the sixth grade curriculum guide.  We are using the Every Day Math program which is now used by the entire school.

New Hampshire Frameworks – Grade Level Expectations

Homework Policies:

Homework is given to reinforce what was taught in school, give a review of things already learned, and to help teach responsibility.  Students are expected to have homework the day that it is due.  Spelling is taught on the last school day of the week and is due on Wednesday of the next week.  Math Study Links are assigned three to four times a week, depending on the lessons.  Spelling words and math facts should be studied nightly.

When absent, the student is responsible for checking for work missed.  Assignments are kept in a class assignment book daily for easy reference.  Students will be given an appropriate amount of time to complete the work.

Classroom Procedures:

All students are expected to be polite to one another and show respect for each other as well as each other’s things.  Students are also expected to follow the School Handbook.
