Curriculum
In math we are using the Everyday Math program. This program emphasizes a spiral approach to math based on how children learn, and what they’re interested in, while preparing them for their future mathematical needs. New this year to the third grade is the Scott Foresman English Language Arts program. This program provides leveled reading books, spelling, grammar and writing all tied directly to each story. Third grade science includes units on Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science. The third grade focus in Social Studies is on communities and learning map skills.
