Homework Policies:

I occasionally send homework home with your student.  These usually are centered around what we are studying that week.  These are meant to be fun for all of you.  The most important thing to do is to have fun with your child.  Also, remember to read with them every day!

Communication Folders:

I will be sending all of your child’s papers home in a red or blue communication folder.  Please keep your child’s papers and send the folder back.  This way you will get all of your child’s work and you can see how well they are doing in school.  Please check your child’s backpack daily.

Classroom Procedures:

ARRIVAL:

If you are bringing your child to school, please bring him/her inside using the front office door.  You’ll need to sign in and receive a “preschool pass”.  You may come in at 8:30 a.m. or 12:15 p.m.  If you have other children in school, they can wait with their class in the cafeteria at 8:30.  PLEASE only bring preschoolers in through the main office.

DISMISSAL:

If you are picking your child up after class, please park in the back parking lot.  You can meet your child at the playground door and walk them safely to your car.  Please DO NOT park across from or in front of the school.  Your child will not be dismissed until we see you.  If someone other than their typical ride home is picking them up, we MUST have a note signed by you.  This will be sent to the office so they can record the change.  No one will be allowed to pick your child up without your written permission.

SNACK:

We will be having a snack break in class.  Your child can bring a snack from home, or purchase one from school.   School milk only is 35 cents a day and school milk and snack is 60 cents a day.  If you send snack money with your child, please put it in an envelope with their name, my name and what the money is for.
