Report cards will be issued November 4th. 

Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 6th.

Students are expected to come to school prepared to do their best. 

A good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast will help in this. 

Our Curriculum

Reading- Scott Foresman Reading Street

This program incorporates a comprehensive approach to reading with a core reading book,

leveled reader books as well as spelling, grammar and writing which is connected to each story.

Mathematics- Everyday Math

This program uses a spiraling approach to mathematics which allows students to continually revisit and practice skills and concepts.  Math games are an integral part of this program and provide a way for students to practice skills at their level. Daily practice and reinforcement is very important in this program.

Social Studies-Our Nation

Fifth grade studies the history of the United States as well as important geography and map skills.

Science- Harcourt Science Text

Our focus is on physical, life and earth science.  We begin the year with the study of the earth.
